We're on a mission to turn every meal into a story worth sharing.
Whether it's a cozy diner down the street or a food truck you've never tried, we want to help you find the flavors that light up your day.
By connecting food lovers with honest reviews and local eats, we're building a community where great food brings us all together.
Our Story
Eatables was our final-year undergraduate project, but the idea started much earlier. We wanted to create something that would help travelers and food lovers find the best local food wherever they go.
Initially, we hesitated to develop Eatables because its core feature was already present in some popular apps.
We thought, “Why build something that already exists?” So, we decided to put the idea on hold.
However, during a trip, we found ourselves in a place where we didn’t speak the language but wanted to try the region’s famous dishes.
We turned to Google Maps, filtered for restaurants—and the results were overwhelming yet unhelpful. It was frustrating to figure out where to go.
Next, we tried two major food delivery apps, hoping to find popular local dishes, but again, the results were disappointing. That was our turning point.
We realized the need for a dedicated Food Discovery & Review Platform (FDRP)— a tool designed specifically for food lovers, where the user is at the center of the experience.
That’s when we decided to build Eatables, a platform tailored for food discovery, ensuring that no one has to struggle to find the best meals, no matter where they are.
